Berry Delicious Smoothie

Gluten Free, Cow’s Dairy Free, Low Sugar, Paleo

This is my favourite breakfast smoothie when I don’t have time to make the Green Goddess power smoothie.
The berries make it rich in antioxidants and you can throw in a your favourite super foods like chia seeds, or spirulina to boost your nutrition! If you’re always on the fly at breakfast then this recipe is for you.

What you’ll need…

  • ¾ cup mixed frozen berries (preferably organic )
  • 1 – 2 heaped dessert spoons protein powder – I recommend organic pea or hemp seed powder
  • 1 handful baby spinach leaves (optional)
  • 1 – 2 tablespoons virgin coconut oil
  • 1 dessert spoon chia seeds
  • 150 – 200 ml unsweetened almond milk / coconut milk / fresh coconut water
  • 100 ml filtered water
  • Optional – ½ banana – if not you are not trying to lose weight

Super food options

– add any combination, but no need to add more than 2 – 3

  • 1 tsp spirulina
  • 1 tsp maca root powder
  • 1 tsp lucuma
  • 1 tsp bee pollen
  • 1 desert spoon hemp seeds

How to make…

Add all ingredients to a high speed blender and mix until well combined, add some ice if desired.
